If you’re looking for a treatment that targets fine lines and wrinkles, it is likely that you have come across Anti-wrinkle injections. At Minerva Medical, we use the original Allergan Botox, which has been available for decades and we believe, is the best on the market. For many of our patients, eliminating fine lines and wrinkles doesn’t just mean an enhanced appearance, but also new confidence. Below are the answers to some commonly asked questions asked by patients and when you’re ready, we invite you to attend a free consultation with Doctor Jonathan Burrows. How do they work?
When injected, Anti-wrinkle injections cause muscles to relax so that they can no longer contract. This prevents the skin from creasing, which in turn reduces wrinkles. Often we treat lines on the forehead, neck and crow’s feet with Botox.
How long does it last?
Three to four months. Lines and wrinkles will reappear when muscle action gradually returns so we recommend having regular treatments. Over time, wrinkles often appear less severe as muscles have been trained to relax.
Do the injections hurt?
The needles used to administer injections are very small so pain is usually minimal.
How are treatments performed?
Having the treatment normally only takes a few minutes and no anesthetic is required. With a very small needle, Botox is injected into specific muscles with minor discomfort.
Are Anti-wrinkle injections right for me?
If you are self-conscious about your fine lines and wrinkles and want to enhance your natural beauty, then Anti-wrinkle injections could be for you. We offer treatments at our Doctor led clinic in Chippenham. Please be aware that Botox does not work for all wrinkles, and that’s why we suggest having a free consultation with our Doctor first. The recommended age for receiving Anti-wrinkle injections varies from person to person as everybody’s muscles present differently. At Minerva Medical, we only treat those who can truly benefit from Botox injections.
