PRP Therapy: Skin rejuvenation using your own cells.

Improve skin texture with a boost from your own blood cells. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used for over thirty years in many different medical fields including: cardiac surgery, dentistry, orthopaedics, wound care, sports medicine and plastics. This is a 100% natural procedure, without using animal products or any other foreign material.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves injection of the patient’s own platelets and fibrin for the cosmetic treatment of wrinkles or scars in the face, hands and neck.

PRP contains cells from you blood which work in the body to help growth and healing. PRP has been used in the UK and Europe since 2006 for facial rejuvenation.

Dr Burrows has trained in this treatment with Dr Daniel Sister who is the pioneer of PRP in the UK and Europe.

A single treatment is £475.00 or a course of three treatments can be booked for £1200:00.

How Does It Work?

A small amount of blood is drawn from you in the exact same manner as a standard blood test. Your bloods sample is then centrifuged (spun at a high rate) to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. This platelet rich plasma or PRP is injected using a sterile needle into obvious lines, wrinkles and scars. The treatment lasts 30 to 40 minutes and can be applied to any skin type or colour.

What Are The Results?

Improvement of skin texture and tone are noticeable within three weeks. Full collagen regeneration takes up to three months.

How Long Do Results Last?

In most patients the results last up to 18 months. Touch-up treatments will maintain the results.
