Improve your skin

Now Is A Great Time To Improve Your Skin.

I hope you are keeping well in these difficult times. As you know, with the clinic closed I am working full time again in General Practice. As soon as it is safe to do so I will reopen the clinic rooms and, of course, I will give plenty of notice as to when this will happen.

However, just because the clinic is closed it doesn’t mean that there are no options for skin care improvement whilst we are in lockdown.

For instance, now is the ideal time to improve your skincare by introducing a Retinol to your daily routine.

Vitamin A Skincare

Retinols are Vitamin A skincare products which work within the skin to renew the exfoliation cycle, decrease sebum production and repair the skin’s barrier function. As a result, your skin becomes more even in texture, more radiant and softer.

Why is now a great time to start a Retinol?

Because it takes 2-6 weeks for the transformation to begin, during which initial skin reactions are signs of good repair. These would include mild peeling and dryness. Although the reactions can easily be controlled by adjusting the protocol strength. Once your skin becomes tolerant to the Retinol you will be able to use it daily without any side effects.

ZO products

I prescribe ZO cosmeceuticals at the clinic, because they are excellent products that work effectively. Over the counter products are specifically designed so that they can be used by everyone and as such are minimally effective. Medically prescribed skincare however does contain effective doses of active products, and as such gives far better results.

ZO has 3 key elements. The first of which is getting skin ready. Deas skin cells and sebum will need to be reduced to allow the effective skincare products to work. This is achieved by the regular use of a cleanser and exfoliator. ZO products are designed to fit your skin type and acheive the best results.

Step 2 can then be initiated to correct issues such as hyperpigmentation, Rosacea and reducing the signs of ageing. For instance, ZO Rozatrol can be added in to reduce facial redness and Retinol Skin Brightener used for anti-ageing.

Step 3 is the use of medically designed sunscreen to protect against UVA, UVB and high energy visible light.

ZO products can be purchased as individual items or as a kit. The kits have the advantage of having a range of products as a starter set, which allow you to experience the schedule before buying the full size versions.

I will be offering virtual consultation appointments to discuss ZO skincare. Please call 07341 980 272 to book.

The ZO Retinol Skin Brightener starts from £54.00 and the daily skincare program kits from £90.00. Delivery is £5.00 per order or free for 3 items or more.
