What is Juvederm Volite?

Many people wish to improve the overall appearance of their skin but realise that often something other than cosmetics are needed. Juvederm Volite is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel containing a local anaesthetic. Volite is used to improve skin quality attributes such as smoothness, hydration and elasticity.

Up to 100 injections are used in a typical facial treatment, as a local anaesthetic cream is used prior to the procedure most patients do not experience any discomfort.

Juvederm Volite can be administered on the face, neck, décolletage and the backs of the hands to improve skin quality. It can be used in all ages and skin types.

How long does Volite last?

Volite will last up to nine months and the results of treatment can be seen within the first month.

What are the side effects?

You can get small raised areas at the injection sites, but these usually disappear with 1-2 hours following treatment. Bruising, redness and tenderness to the injection site is common but will resolve in several days.

What should I do after treatment?

Avoid alcohol consumption for 48 hours. You will also need to avoid strenuous exercise for the same length of time. Extremes of temperature like sun bathing, UV light and saunas need to be avoided for 2 weeks after the treatment.
